Lil Wayne/Imagine Dragons/... (3) - Week #47

Anyone who would skip this paragraph would think that I was colour-coding. The extreme amount of biggest drops was 99% by accident (I had to bump up a notch Still Falling For You), but the rest is 100% authentic.

Before we begin, this post was so much fun to make. What with the 20-or-so Hit-Bound songs and the enormous biggest drop ties, and the awesome top three of Sucker For Pain-Not Easy-Armaggedon and the best top fifteen of the year so far, what more could I want?

But, Bruno Mars has released his whole new album and of the 11 songs, only Versace On The Floor is good.

And the Weeknd has two new songs also, with Daft Punk I Feel It Coming (amazing) and the awesome Party Monster, alone.

Thursday I went to a symphony orchestra concert (my uncle is master timpanist). The pianist, Denis Matsuev and (if you guys follow other type of music) is ranked in the top 5 pianist ever, and if I may say he was amazing. He did two encores and I think the ovation lasted a good fifteen minutes. I really suggest for anyone who understands classical music to check him out. He is truly a master.

Last point before we begin, I finally updated the records page.

Thank you for kindly reading this rather large proem.

Lil Wayne/Imagine Dragons (2) - Week #46

Before we begin, I would like to acknowledge Leonard Cohen, who passed away this week. This man really was a mark in music and I am glad that Canada respects him by his song Hallelujah #1 on iTunes.

I don't listen to much nowadays. I have a very busy week, if I may say:
Monday: Volunteer work until 9:00
Tuesday: Badminton until 6:30
Wednesday: Piano until 6:00
Thursday: Swimming until 6:45
Friday: Blog
Saturday: Russian school until 4:55
Sunday: Free

So I don't have much iTunes free time.

I can't help but like Closer, no matter how annoying the monotone is.

I liked Say It a long time ago. Since it is becoming more popular now, I listened to it again and I liked it. So it is here.

Comments on debuts:
Back from their masterpiece Figure Me Out are the Summer Set, with their new song that is definitely superior to Figure Me Out, but definitely not bad.

I heard this Rihanna song a lot of times since it was recommended in the comments. I didn't like it enough to put in on here, but now I do.

I know I am really late for Can't Slow Down. But it is becoming popular now. I feel so dumb. I had the Hedley album "Hello" when it was released and I didn't think of putting any songs on here except Hello itself. And I actually liked Lose Control in November 2015.

I know Virginia To Vegas did a complete copy of another song, but it is good and worthy of #22 because it is catchy and my radio stations play it a lot.

Hit-Bound
Clean Bandit/Louisa Johnson - Tears
Little Mix - Shout Out To My Ex
Sum 41 - War
Machine Gun Kelly/Camila Cabelo - Bad Things
Fifth Harmony - That's My Girl
Shawn Mendes - Mercy

Frenship/Emily Warren (1) - Week #43

So this really is the year of comebacks. There have been at least ten comeback songs that came out this year. Among them are the superior Starboy, and Make Me... Then there are songs like Rise, by Katy Perry, somewhere in between amazing and horrible. And last, we have songs that come out like 24K Magic, which everybody absolutely adores, probably more than I adored Stressed Out and In The Night when they came out. Naturally, this song becomes extremely popular and overplayed from its release date. I am not going to ramble on on how Bruno Mars has changed from his humbler ways and that he sings better than raps, because I know that I am not the first blogger you come to every weekend. There is a more popular one who agrees with me. So I am just going to say that this song is horrible, probably the worst song of the year of 2016. Yes even Lost Boy is better. Sorry to half the world who jams to this song 24/7, but I like The Lazy Song better than this garbage. Anyway, back to the countdown, if I got you this far. Nothing changed much. In fact, in the top 24 we only had one jump of more than 2 spots.

Comments on debuts:

All Time Low debuted Hit-Bound after I published Week #42's post. I think this song is catchy, but wrong in some parts. And I listened to it once and couldn't believe my ears.

Better: This song is so catchy. The voice changes are amazing! (I can't believe this album! This is OneRepublic's best ever. That's three 10/10s in a row) The concept of this song is amazing, too. I felt this same way for Heathens. (Now, not even close)

Hit-Bound:

Clean Bandit/Louisa Johnson - Tears
Shawn Mendes - Mercy
Virginia To Vegas - Lights Out
OneRepublic - Fingertips
OneRepublic - Heaven
