Hello! I am Sasha. This will be my new countdown blog, where I will post every week the Sirius XM Hits 1 Weekend Countdown and some other charts alternatively. I will have to use other people's charts for the information because of technological problems...

Anyway the blog with follow out to be like the others:

Comments on debuts:
James Hersey - Miss You
This is a strange song for Hits 1 to pick up seeing as I have never heard it on any other radio. It is very nice and sweet at the beginning but gets very repetitive and boring towards the end. The lyrics and the music go well together. Overall, this song is one that I will probably forget in a few years because there is nothing really that stands out from it.

Hit-Bound:
Jason Derulo/Nicki Minaj/Ty Dolla $ign - Swalla (DEBUT)
The Vamps/Matoma - All Night
Imagine Dragons - Believer
The Chainsmokers/Coldplay - Something Just Like This
Ariana Grande/Future - Everyday
Coin - Talk Too Much
MAX/Gnash - Lights Down Low
Snakehips/MO - Don't Leave
Clean Bandit/Sean Paul/Anne-Marie - Rockabye
One Ok Rock - American Girls
Calvin Harris/Frank Ocean/Migos - Slide
Panic! At The Disco - L.A. Devotee
Little Mix - Touch
Flo Rida/99 Percent - Cake

Slide is horrible. How did this even make it on Hits 1? They rarely accept rapping. And that annoying electronic voice? Please! Let's pray that this doesn't make it to the countdown.

And Lights Down Low is the opposite. A great pop voice, with no strange electronic oddities added whenever, just the guitar and his voice. Although Gnash raps a bit, he actually does it well.

Swalla is catchy. The tune is great although the verses could use work. Ty Dolla $ign does well while Nicki Minaj does not.

Something Just Like This is amazing. Spectacular. Coldplay sings beautifully. The words said are amazing! Then... The Chainsmokers, taking knowledge that the Closer beat was a hit like none of their other songs, they take... the exact same instrumentals as Closer. The ones that annoyed my head off after I grew out of it. And so the song is not my favourite song on Hit-Bound, although it well could be without The Chainsmokers. They have fallen.

To resume up the rest of Hit-Bound in a bit: All Night has a great beat, Believer has an amazing rock feel to it, Everyday is disappointingly repetitive and annoying compared to Touch It which she should have released instead, Talk Too Much was good but is just plain old being from Alt-Nation from a long time ago, Don't Leave is easily hatable because of MO but easily liked because of the beat, Rockabye featured the great voice of Anne-Marie and the great backs of Clean Bandit plus some great songwriting, American Girls is a good rock song but I don't really enjoy rock, L.A. Devotee showcases Urie's awful voice, Touch is noisy, and Cake is dumb but fun, to resume up Hit-Bound for my first week.

And I did hear Sabrina Carpenter - Thumbs once on the preview channel. I though it would make Hit-Bound.

Top 5:
1. Lights Down Low
2. Believer
3. All Might
4. Don't Leave
5. Something Just Like This

I'm Gonna Miss Blurbs
I am not surprised about our top 2. Shape Of You will most likely stay at the top for another few months and Mercy might intervene with a few weeks at #1 itself.

Although the #3 song is unacceptable. What is so good about this song? Is everybody voting for this song because it is part of Fifty Shades Darker? That would be the only reason. The falsetto is terrible. The lyrics make no sense. Taylor Swift has crashed from New Romantics, and Zayn should have stayed with OneDirection. Their voices hurt my ears so much even when they are not singing high.

The drop was from a song that is way overdue here anyway. The jump is... well... surprising. I am not annoyed, although I would be if this song hit #1. I would have loved this earlier on instead of having Just Hold On roaming around the twenties.

How are Closer and Starving still this high?

I don't see anything that special from Chained To The Rhythm or That's What I Like. They are mediocre songs, but they are so high, where It Ain't Me or Heavy should be.

Yay for Heathens. Keep it up! You will always be awesome.

I don't understand the jump from Weak. Stay I understand, Alessia Cara and Zedd, well... but Weak? Seriously? I only listened to this song two times and there is no beat, the lyrics make no sense, and it has never played on any of my radio stations. I would not have guessed in a million years that Weak would be a hit so fast.

Why isn't Heavydirtysoul making an impact? At all?

Although Unsteady is the worst song on the countdown for some, I still find it a great song. X Ambassadors have always wowed me and they continue to jump, in the bottom five,.. which is quite strange. But I am definitely hoping that this song can last a year unlike Stressed Out (sadly). One month to go!

Top 5:
1. Heavy
2. It Ain't Me
3. Castle On The Hill
4. Heavydirtysoul
5. Make Me (Cry)

Throwback pick of the week: OneRepublic - Secrets

#1 recommendation for Hits 1: Anne-Marie - Ciao Adios (Or LP - Lost On You but it will never make it here)

Special: The 4 o'clock 4Play (Wednesday - a daily countdown from my local radio station)

#4
Shape Of You:
A catchy song on the verge of overplay... And expectedly here. This has been on here do

#3
Slide:
HOW?!?!?!?!?! WHO LIKE THIS SONG?!?!?! (read the first Hit-Bound comment for details)

#2
Down:
Thank you. The bass and the "piano" do well in this song and her voice is good, but this song could put you to sleep during the day. But a GREAT night song. I hope this song debuts soon on Hit-Bound soon.

#1
Paris:
... really... I am so surprised... oh right you guys don't like with me. This song has been at #1 for nine times out of ten this past week. I loved this song. But now I realize how annoying The Chainsmokers are with their beats. They are all the same except Don't Let Me Down. The only reason I still might listen to this song is because It reminds me of my trip to Paris last summer :) :P
